I’m sure you’ve heard today’s song at one time or another. This is another one of those that has brought me to tears.
Oh, it’s love so undeniable
I, I can hardly speak
Have you heard of Periscope? I discovered Periscope a little over a year ago, and the some of the people I’ve met have become a big part of my life. One of the first people I started following on Periscope was Lara Marriott. She’s part of a homeschool group for homeschool moms. I was drawn to her transparency in every broadcast. Lara is a worship leader, song writer, voice coach, blogger, and fellow homeschool mom. Please visit her webstite, you won’t be dissapointed.
Every so often, Lara goes on Periscope (@LaraMarriott), to simply worship the Lord. At he piano she sits, and worships. One very late evening, after a week that seemed to only bring bad news and worries, I was getting ready for bed and a little Periscope notification got my attention. Lara was on live. I connected and there she was, singing this song. There was two other people watching but I believe she was singing this for me. He knows what we need before we do. The Lord had prompted her to open up her worship set with this song as a reminder of who He is. He is good, and I am loved by Him.
You’re a good good Father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who You are
And I’m loved by You
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
Do you believe this? You are loved by Him.
My pastor always says that in the days before he became a believer, he knew who Jesus was. Had read all the books, had seen all the movies and heard the stories. But, he didn’t know Him personally. A personal relationship is key. Once you know Him, you can’t help but praise Him.
I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless you
and praise your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
and his greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall commend your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds,
and I will declare your greatness.
They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness
and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
The Lord is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
The Lord is good to all,
and his mercy is over all that he has made.
All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
and all your saints shall bless you!
They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom
and tell of your power,
to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds,
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The Lord upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.
The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.
The Lord preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
Praise Him. With every breath.
